Cordierite screws are specialized fasteners made from high-purity cordierite ceramic (2MgO·2Al₂O₃·5SiO₂), offering unique thermal and mechanical properties. With an ultra-low thermal expansion coefficient (1.5×10⁻⁶/°C), they maintain dimensional stability in extreme temperature cycling (up to 1200°C), outperforming metal alloys in high-temperature environments. These screws feature exceptional thermal shock resistance (>500°C quenching difference) and chemical inertness against molten metals/acids. Commonly used in kiln furniture, semiconductor processing, and aerospace applications, cordierite screws prevent thermal stress cracking in precision assemblies. Their dielectric properties (ε<5 @1MHz) make them ideal for RF components, while the non-wetting surface resists slag adhesion in foundries.
